Material role and system position
Installed outside insulation or structural sheathing to limit wind-driven rain and air movement while allowing residual water vapour to diffuse outward.
- Primary role
- Exterior water and wind control layer
- Selection
- Project location, assembly position and corresponding test evidence
- Supply
- Project quantities and agreed roll format, labelling and packaging
Typical applications
Selection logic
Review watertightness, vapour permeance, tensile and tear resistance, ageing, allowable UV exposure and project fire requirements together. A high vapour transmission value cannot compensate for reverse laps or incomplete details.
Application limits
This membrane does not replace the primary roof covering, metal flashings, an internal air and vapour control layer, or a designed drainage cavity.
