Engineering scope
- Principle
- Install the sill flashing first, turn it up at jambs and preserve a path to the exterior.
- Verification
- Connect jambs next, then head flashing, and lap the upper field membrane over the head flashing.
- Field control
- Do not rely on a perimeter bead of sealant as the only water-control measure.
System decision
Start with the actual roof or wall build-up, climate, indoor condition and risk at the relevant interface. Product data must be connected to a defined layer and detail.
Documentation and acceptance
Keep design details, approved product data, delivery labels, batch records, mock-ups, concealed-work photographs and repairs traceable to the installed area.
